The Freckled Samurai

Hello hello! As you may have guessed, over the past year I have not really made much progress on this website. This is largely due to the fact that I am just, exhausted and I'm dealing with real life things but, it is also due to the fact that I have no space for my Oshawott collection to be fully displayed....still. So I just don't have the space to display or photograph anything so, the lack of updates. Still in the same, small flat, we will see if that will change.

Today though, I bring some news - after many years of being with Weebly, and after having tested and made some websites for other collections, I have decided to migrate this site over to Wix. I believe it is just, far more user friendly and easier to edit information into, so unfortunately my time with Weebly is going to come to a close. It won't happen immediately of course, as I still have to build and work on the website over on Wix but I will strive to actually start making strides in this once again. My collection site has been outdated for far too long and part of my procrastination was in part due to Weebly's limitations with design and how much it lags with my collection in its current state, never mind what I actually want to add to it.

But like I said, this site will still be up for quite some time as I make the move, since I want to take captions and information from this site and move it to the new one.

Hi there! I've been away for a while, but now I'm back! Kind of! Like my last update, much has happened in my life - I got married and live in the UK, and my husband and I have a small flat and things are looking up! I've now been able to devote a little more time to collecting, and with that I'd like to get back into making this site what I want it to be!

Unfortunately, the flat we live in is so small that I can't possibly display the entirety of my collection right now, meaning I can't re-take pictures or really update this website with the FULLEST version of what my collection actually looks like right now. We are aiming to get a bigger flat within the next year, and hopefully then I'll be able to display my Oshawotts, finally!

In the meantime, I'll be making changes gradually - updates to the look and feel of the site, weeding out bad photos and links, while doing little things like updating the side pages, like affiliates and my wants lists. I'll probably get a logo and an actual URL since I think it's high time that this website has that.

You can actually see some of these changes now, if you are a hardcore lurker of this site! Certainly my grails have been updated, as I got a few of those recently. 

And of course, the other important update- the name change. It's not the BIGGEST change, but I felt it needed to happen because the former name was a suggestion from an ex from when I first started collecting Oshwott. I felt that since that ended, the name should go along with it so it's changed! I like this one better anyway, and it will likely serve as both this site name and my username in many places.

Hi! It's been a LONG time, indeed! I've been very busy the past few years with different endeavors. In short, I moved to Japan to teach, met the love of my life, got into a bad accident in which I lost three of my teeth, moved back to the US, and started a long distance relationship between the US and...UK! Surprise! So a ton has happened.

That being said, I haven't been able to update my website so much because my collection is, unfortunately, mostly in boxes at the moment. In the UK. I'm still collecting Oshawott merchandise, rather slowly now that I have to save money for other things, but I'm still aiming to have an amazing collection!

So don't fret! The Littlest Samurai will not disappear, and even though I haven't been active lately, I will be making significant updates to the rest of the website in the near future if my plans go...well, as planned. <3 For now, though, I'll probably post some small entries about recently obtained items, though I won't add them to the website categories just yet.

It's been a long time since I've made an update, huh? I've been very busy with school and work, but I feel like the first two months of my summer have been used wisely for relaxing and de-stressing from my last semester as a full time student, so I finally have time to start work on this site again! I have one class until I earn my bachelor's degree, which will not take too much devotion, which means I'll actually be able to update this site much more frequently, even though now my main focus will be earning money and finding a job in Japan!

As you can see, I'm currently gutting the navigation of this website, which has always been a problem. It'll take me a bit to fix everything the way I need to, so bear with me! Other than that, I'm trying to decide on a banner, have decided on a background, and am adding pages for my other collections, though of course otters will always and forever be my main focus. <3

This brings me to my next topic, my new collections! If you know me well, you know I have been waiting and wishing for squid pokémon for years.

And I got them!

Introducing my newest collection, Inkay and Malamar, the Dark/Psychic squids! They are everything I ever hoped for, and I am still in shock over the fact that they are finally real!! They are easily now my secondary main collection, only behind otters, and as such have their own tab on the primary navigation bar on top! I love you SO MUCH, little squid!! You have a permanent place on my teams always!! <3

That's right! I'm going to be making some gigantic changes here within the next few months, starting with obtaining my own domain name! <3 From there, I'm going to be making huge layout changes and navigational changes, and just overall try my best to finally update the site and bring it to its full potential!

This process will take a long time, though. I'm in my last semester of college, and juggling a job (soon to be two again) and heading a club while doing all of that. I'll post here whenever I make any changes, though! :3 

I'm rather glad to finally be able to post this, though. It's been a long time coming, in fact since the beginnings of this site I have had problems with the layout and customization, so it's a change for the better as far as I'm concerned. 

Mijumaru thinks so, too!
